FHM's wish list

Cristine Reyes is one of the most sought-after female stars being eyed to grace the covers of men's magazines. The Philippine's number one men's magazine, FHM, is no exception.

FHM (For Him Magazine) editor-in-chief Allan Madrilejos gave PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) his wish list of cover girls. Allan mentioned Ara Mina's younger sister, Cristine Reyes, first.

"Si Cristine kasi, una, matagal na siyang inaabangan. Eto yung mga sobrang lakas na yung following nila. Sa website pa lang, ang hahaba na nung debate kung kelan. Yung hotness niya medyo kilala e. Mataas yung level," says Allan.

If Cristine agrees to pose for FHM, this will be only the second time she will do a sexy photo shoot. Cristine was one of the featured stars in the 2006 calendar of GMA-7's Artist Center. In that sexy photo shoot, Cristine was joined by co-Artist Center talent Katrina Halili, where both of them were only wearing two-piece bikinis.

SEXY TWOSOMES. FHM is also planning to come up with an explosive duo for the magazine by having both Angel Locsin and Katrina Halili on one cover. The two were hailed as FHM's Sexiest in 2005 and 2006, respectively.
Allan says, "Mga concept na tipong Angel and Katrina magkasama. Naging sexiest yung dalawang yan. Minsan lang hinahanap na may gawin kang iba. Isipin mo treat din ‘yan para sa mga mambabasa mo, yung mapagsama mo sila sa isang cover. 'Pag bida si Angel, ang effective na kontrabida si Katrina. Mayroon silang relationship na parang masarap i-explore at ipakita sa isang pictorial."

Also in FHM's list are models Nicole Hernandez and Kelly Misa.

"Taon-taon ‘pag may 100 Sexiest [Women], lagi silang nandun. Taon-taon, hindi sila uma-attend ng iba nating events. Mapapansin mo ‘pag lumalabas yung pictures nila, ang lakas talaga ng sigawan. Meron silang hatak among the boys and gentlemen na sumusubaybay sa FHM. Worth a try naman. Pasok naman sila sa panlasa ng buong FHM," says Allan about the two models.

THE FUTURE. Other personalities who made it to FHM's wish list are Ryza Cenon, Jean Garcia, Angelica Panganiban, Mojofly lead vocalist Lougee, and sisters Ehra and Michelle Madrigal.

Allan explains what it takes to be on the magazine cover: "Kailangan ang lakas talaga nung sexy factor, na pwede siyang pag-usapan. Kunwari, pwede kang pag-usapan sa website lang. Ang appeal niya, kailangang malaki. Hindi rin biro ang maging FHM cover. Kailangan maganda din yung pagpili at nasa timing din."

He also adds, "Definitely yung choices, varied. Different range of sexiness. Di tayo confined lang sa young stars. Yun naman ang gusto nating i-develop. Well-rounded ang FHM cover babes. Medyo top of mind 'yan na maaaring matrabaho namin this year."

Everything is still on the drawing board, with 2007 just getting started. Whether or not they appear on your magazine cover, you can still expect another sexy year with FHM!

Relasyong Pauleen-Marvin saan mapupunta?

Emosyonal din si Pauleen Luna nang mag-guest siya sa Startalk nu'ng
Sabado.

Aminado siyang may problema sila ni Marvin Agustin at mukhang
matutuloy sa paghihiwalay ang kanilang relasyon.

Dumating na sa puntong puno na ang magulang ni Pauleen kay Marvin
dahil sa mga nakita nilang hindi magandang pakikitungo nito kay
Pauleen.

Hindi ito naitago sa ina ni Pauleen dahil hawak na nito ngayon ang
cellphone ng young actress.

Hinihigpitan na nila ito ngayon kay Marvin at ang huling narinig ko,
mismong ang ama na ni Pauleen ang nakiusap sa young actress na
hiwalayan na ang aktor.

"Mas pinapaniwalaan ko ang mother's instinct at alam kong hindi
nararapat si Marvin sa anak namin. Pinagbigyan ko rin naman sila
noon at pinapakisamahan namin siya nang husto, pero napuno na ako
dahil hindi ko na gusto ang nakikita ko," pahayag ng mommy ni

Maraming mga bagay na ngayon na nakikita ang ina ni Pauleen kay

"Alam kong mabait si Pauleen na anak at kami pa rin ang pipiliin
niya. Alam kong paninindigan pa rin niya na ang priority niya sa
buhay ay ang Diyos, ang pamilya niya at ang career," patuloy ng

Kahit masakit sa young actress ang makipaghiwalay kay Marvin,

Mother knows best!

Richard Gutierrez and Angel Locsin play their first mature roles

Handa na sina Richard Gutierrez at Angel Locsin para sa kanilang
kauna-unahang mature roles sa pelikulang The Promise.

The Promise is jointly produced again by Regal Films and GMA Films—
the same tandem that gave us the last two years' hit Valentine
movies, Let The Love Begin and I Will Always Love You, na sina
Richard and Angel din ang mga bida. This time, The Promise will
actually be shown on Valentine's Day, February 14.

The Promise is a loose remake of Reyna Films' Hihintayin Kita Sa
Langit (1991) of Carlos Siguion-Reyna, starring Richard Gomez and
Dawn Zulueta. Raquel Villavicencio, scriptwriter for both movies,
disclosed na mas malapit sa novel ni Emily Bronte na Wuthering
Heights ang The Promise kaysa sa Hihintayin Kita Sa Langit.

Ayon kay Raquel, Hihintayin Kita Sa Langit kasi is nearer to the
1939 film version that starred Laurence Olivier and Merle Oberon,
playing Heathcliff and Catherine, the novel's original character
names.

Mike Tuviera—the man behind TXT and the "LRT-2" episode of Shake,
Rattle & Roll 8—is the director of The Promise, to be shot in
several parts of the country, including Bolinao in Pangasinan,
Cavite, and Laguna.

Pinabata lang ni Raquel ang mga bidang characters to suit the age of
Richard and Angel. The award-winning scriptwriter, however, stresses
that this will be the first time na gaganap ng mature roles ang
dalawa sa pinakasikat na young stars sa kasalukuyan.

Sa first trailer pa lang shown in a mini-press con with the
publicists and editors, hitik na ang halikan ng dalawang bida. In
one scene pa nga, Richard is just in his maong pants while talking
to Rhian Ramos—one of Richard's leading ladies in Captain Barbell.

Hindi pa rin daw tapos ang principal photography ng The Promise, so
hindi pa nakukunan ang isang love scene na gagawin nina Richard and
Angel. Although PG-13 ang rating na inaasahan ng pelikula, expected
na rin daw nina Richard and Angel that their love scene here will be
more than what they did in their past movies and TV shows together.
Pareho na raw silang handa para rito.

The Promise also stars TJ Trinidad, Ryan Eigenmann, and Raquel
Villaviciencio herself as TJ and Rhian's mother.

Teen stars, nagpapatalbugan sa kaseksihan!

Kung sa 2006 ay nagpatalbugan ang mga teen stars sa pagpapa-sexy sa mga men’s magazines, ngayon naman ay sa calendars at commercials ng alcoholic drinks naman ang laban.

Lumabas na si Katrina Halili bilang endorser ng Tanduay. At ngayon naman ay pumabilang na si Roxanne Guinoo sa mga White Castle Girls. Tulad ng mga nauna sa kaniya, seksing pulang bikini ang isinuot ni Roxanne sa pictorial.

Si Roxanne ang napili mula sa maraming mga artista at modelong dumalo sa go-see ng produkto.

“She typifies yung aming White Castle Girl,” paliwanag ni Olivia Limpe-Aw, ang presidente ng Destileria Limtuaco. “In the past, meron tayong mga White Castle Girls tulad nina Carmi Martin, Christina Gonzales, ni Miss Lorna Tolentino, Glydel Mercado. Sila yung mga nice young girls that dared to go a bit sexy. They’re daring but not overboard.”

Ito ang unang pagkakataon na nagpa-sexy ang teen star. At sa mga litrato ng aktres na makikita ng publiko, ipinakita ni Roxanne na hindi na kailangang retokihin ang kaniyang sexy photos dahil labas na ang kaniyang kaseksihan.

“She did what she had to do. She took directions from the photographer very well,” dagdag pa ni Miss Limpe-Aw.

At si Jennylyn Mercado, hindi rin magpapahuli sa pagpapa-sexy sa kalendaryo. Pagkatapos niyang maging cover ng isang men’s magazine, isang sexy na Jennylyn ang bumulaga sa 2007 planner ng GMA Artist Center. Ipinakita ng young actress na pwede na siyang tumanggap ng mas mature na roles sa pelikula at sa telebisyon.

Isa si Jennylyn sa mga artista ng Artist Center na nanggulat sa kakaibang pictorial na ginawa nila.

“Happy ako kasi maganda yung kinilabasan ng pictorial,” pasimula ni Jen. “Na-amaze ako (sa kinalabasan ng pictorial). Ako ba ‘yan? Pinakita ko nga sa friends ko, (at) hindi nila (ako) namukhaan.”

Ely Buendia in ICU for a heart attack

SINGER-SONGWRITER Ely Buendia, 36-year-old front man for the rock band Pupil, was rushed to the hospital on Sunday after suffering a heart attack.

He was given an emergency angioplasty to treat two arterial blockages on Sunday night.

"He's now conscious. He's okay. His vital signs are stabilizing, but he is still under observation," Pupil manager Day Cabuhat told the Inquirer.

Buendia is now in the intensive care unit of a leading hospital.

According to Cabuhat, the doctors speculated that Buendia suffered the heart attack while performing onstage with Pupil in a gig in Laguna.

Buendia used to be the leader of the seminal '90s band Eraserheads, which disbanded in 2002.

Chuchay pinagdududahan ang pag-alis sa Eat Bulaga

Health reason ang ibinigay na dahilan ni Gladys Guevarra sa
resignation letter sa Eat Bulaga last Friday.

Hindi na ito nag-elaborate at 'di na rin nagtanong si Malou Choa-
Fagar at ang Tape, Inc. at tinanggap na lang ang pagbibitiw nito.

May mga hindi naniniwala sa rason ni Gladys, lalo't tumanggap siya
ng show sa GMA-7. Paano raw siya makapagpapahinga kung magti-taping
siya ng Magic Kamison?

Kaya ang press, dinidiskubre ang mas malalim na dahilan ng move ni
Gladys, gaya ng kung may nakaaway ito sa hosts ng show o kung may
iniiwasan.

Hopefully, hindi niya ititigil ang pagkanta dahil marami ang makaka-
miss kay Chuchay (isa sa pinasikat niyang characters).

KC, Lino seen at Bora!

KC and Lino are now a couple! And while KC and Lino were vacationing in Boracay, Bianca was also there! A reliable PEP mole adds, “Bianca is really hurting and is still texting Lino."

It was PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) which first broke the story that KC Concepcion and Lino Cayetano were seen having lunch at Sonya’s Garden last December 22. At the time, everything was up in the air. Were they there as accidental tourists? Working on a commercial shoot together? Or on a proper date?

PEP also reported, however, that the two were seen holding hands on their way out of Sonya's Garden.

KC is, of course, the beautiful lady who is top choice among young celebs for product endorsements and lifestyle/showbiz pictorials and interviews.

She also happens to be the eldest daughter of Sharon Cuneta, who is arguably the country's top female endorser and a star for the last 29 years, and of Gabby Concepcion, once a top matinee idol in local showbiz and now a real-estate broker in California, USA.

Based in France for the last three years, KC is on the last year of her corporate communications course at the American University in Paris. She is currently home for the holidays.

Lino is himself a celebrity. Born to a family of politicians, his sister Pia is currently a Philippine senator, and his father Rene was also a senator.

This is the father to whom Lino donated his kidney at a time the family believed this could give their patriarch a fighting chance against stomach cancer. When he died in 2003, Senator Rene Cayetano was honored with ceremonial burial services in the halls of the Senate.

A director, the handsome Lino's most recent assignments are "Blusang Itim," an episode in ABS-CBN's fantasy series Komiks, and Calla Lily, a soap from the same network.

In brief, KC and Lino are major local celebs. And them getting together for a lunch date is news.

Maria Kristina Cassandra Cuneta Concepcion, 21, and Lino Edgardo Schramm Cayetano, 29, are now an item!

A PEP regular mole swears that the two just spent a nice, if brief, vacation at the popular Visayas island resort of Boracay.

If the two high-profile celebs can be mistaken for casual friends who happen to meet up at Sonya’s Garden for lunch, then a Boracay trip together—which has to be planned, booked, and worked into KC’s very tight schedule and Lino's own—can neither be accidental nor casual.

The Boracay vacation, more than just a date, had to be prearranged.

BIANCA GONZALEZ. It has been a couple of months since Lino, who has kept a low profile even in showbiz, and Bianca Gonzalez, a budding TV host-endorser, were reported to be mending their broken romance.

It might be remembered that Bianca and Lino, who were officially a couple when Bianca joined the reality TV show Pinoy Big Brother, had a lovers’ quarrel over Bianca’s closeness to PBB housemate Zanjoe Marudo through the period of February 5 - April 1 of 2006.

Right after Bianca left the PBB house, however, she cut all ties with Zanjoe, clearly ignoring him wherever they met, including at Boracay last summer.

Last December 10, The Buzz reported that Bianca and Lino had broken up. But no confirmation or denial was ever heard from the two.

Now comes this news: KC and Lino are now a couple! And while KC and Lino were vacationing in Boracay, Bianca was also there!

The PEP mole adds, “Bianca is really hurting and is still texting Lino."

SHARON CUNETA. While Lino told The Buzz yesterday, January 7, by text message: “I like her a lot… And I think napakaganda, napakatalino, and talented niyang tao"—that is as far as he has gone to answer inquiries about KC.

Meantime, PEP’s reliable mole says that KC's mom would rather have Lino announce the status of his relationship with her daughter. The mole explains that Sharon believes the proper way is for Lino to be the first to admit the relationship, not her daughter KC.

A PEP staffer, who is a long-time friend of Lino, succeeds in reaching the Man of the Hour by cell phone this afternoon. The text goes: “If you wanna say something, I’m just a text away."

Known as a private person, Lino manages to text back: “Thanks for the heads up. :-) Quiet na muna ako dito. Pero salamat sa text, hehe. :-)"

Yasmien hindi bongga ang debut

Magdaraos na ng kanyang debut si Yasmien Kurdi kaya excited na siya
pero hindi bongga ang magiging selebrasyon. Mas type niyang mag-
swimming party na lang kasama ang mga malalapit na kaibigan.

Maganda ang takbo ng career ngayon ni Yasmien dahil nakilala siya nang
husto sa Bakekang. Dito niya naipamalas na may ibubuga talaga siya sa
akting laluna sa drama.

Natupad na rin nito ang pinakamahalagang regalo sa kaarawan at ito ang
pagkakaroon ng second album. First love niya ang singing at enjoy
kapag kumakanta.

Angel Locsin confirms breakup with Oyo Sotto

Angel Locsin has tearfully confirmed her breakup with boyfriend Oyo Boy Sotto, a report posted on Sunday at the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) website said.

Locsin made her admission during her launch as celebrity endorser for the Belo Medical Group on December 28.

The report said that Angel was first silent when GMA’s on-camera interviewer Butch Francisco asked her about the status of her relationship with Sotto.

"Cool-off ba? (Has the relationship cooled off?)" Francisco asked.

In tears, Angel shook her head slightly. But when Francisco asked: "Tapos na nga ba? (Is it really over?)" Angel nodded and gave a short comment, "Ang hirap sagutin (That's a difficult question)."

According to a report from GMA's S Files showbiz talk show on Sunday, there were two possible reasons for the breakup: Sotto’s alleged relationship with Enteng Kabisote 3 fellow cast member Bing Loyzaga and Locsin's ties with Asian Treasures co-star Robin Padilla. -

Glaiza de Castro copycat of Angel Locsin?

Glaiza has a meaty role in GMA-7 teleserye Asian Treasures to be launched on January 15.

People often mistake Glaiza de Castro for Angel Locsin. They have the same chinita eyes and wide smile, and they can really pass for sisters. PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked Glaiza how she feels whenever people make the mistake.

Smiling, she said: "Hindi naman ako nai-intimidate. Dati halos lahat ng makasalubong ko, sasabihin 'Angel, hi!' Hindi ko alam kung i-ignore ko ‘to o magpapanggap ako na Angel kasi kung minsan sasabihin nila ‘Hi, Angel.'"

During the interview last December 29, Glaiza said, "Ngayon medyo naa-identify naman ako."

Hopefully, even more people will be able to identify Glaiza as Glaiza with her participation in the soon-to-be launched TV series of GMA-7. "We're launching Asian Treasures. I'm looking forward to that. Ako si Clara, yung sister ni Robin [Padilla]. Magaling ako sa history tsaka geography. Yun yung magko-connect. Isa sa mga paraan para mahanap yung Asian Treasures.

"Asian Treasures is a big chance talaga para malaman ng tao na hindi ako si Angel. May iba akong personalidad na ako si Glaiza."

She recently became part of the Metro Manila Film Festival entry Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah Ze Moveeh from Regal Entertainment. The 18-year-old actress played the role of Dina B., one of the Amazonistas of Queen Femina (played by Pops Fernandez).

"Hindi na rin naman sa akin bago to play kontrabida roles. This time may nostalgic effect dahil si Dina B. ako e. We get to imitate yung mga galaw nila.

"Exciting kasi you get to wear designer's clothes na hindi mo talaga sinusuot sa karaniwang okasyon. You feel very beautiful."

When asked how she prepared for the role, Glaiza recounted: "We have training for wushu, na hindi rin namin masyadong nagamit. Better na rin marunong kaming mag-wushu. Hindi naman masyadong mahirap. It's a bit more challenging."

Glaiza has appeared in several movies this year including Manay Po, Twilight Dancers, White Lady, Sukob, and Pacquiao: The Movie.


ASPIRING THESPIAN. Asked about her other plans, Glaiza said, "I'd like to try lahat. I like to try theater because I've never done theater. Hindi naman ako magju-jump ng malaking step para ipakita sa kanila na eto, kaya ko ‘to."

PEP also asked whether she was planning to pose for a men's magazine. She said: "I'm thinking of it right now kasi may offer na ako to pose for a men's magazine."

With her busy career, Glaiza is not thinking at all about her love life. "Wala. Zero. Ayoko pa e. Gusto ko munang mag-concentrate sa career ko. Maghihintay naman yan e. May mga lumalapit e pero sabi ko hintay muna."

Glaiza was "discovered" during an audition for Viva Entertainment several years back. By a sudden twist of fate, she ended up signing a contract with Regal Films. She then became a regular in several TV shows such as Berks, Spirits, Master Showman, and Fanstastikids.

Glaiza is currently being managed by Manny Valera.

Puspusan na ang pagti-taping ng Super Twins na bida si Nadine Samonte.
Lagare nga si Nadine sa taping ng Bakekang, kaya hilong-talilong din
ang drama ng dalaga.

Kaya naman unti-unti nang nireremedyuhan ng writers ng Bakekang ang
gagawin sa character ni Nadine. Ang balita namin, either papupuntahin
sa States si Nadine sa pag-alis niya sa Bakekang o di kaya ay patayin
ang character niya.
