FHM's wish list

Cristine Reyes is one of the most sought-after female stars being eyed to grace the covers of men's magazines. The Philippine's number one men's magazine, FHM, is no exception.

FHM (For Him Magazine) editor-in-chief Allan Madrilejos gave PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) his wish list of cover girls. Allan mentioned Ara Mina's younger sister, Cristine Reyes, first.

"Si Cristine kasi, una, matagal na siyang inaabangan. Eto yung mga sobrang lakas na yung following nila. Sa website pa lang, ang hahaba na nung debate kung kelan. Yung hotness niya medyo kilala e. Mataas yung level," says Allan.

If Cristine agrees to pose for FHM, this will be only the second time she will do a sexy photo shoot. Cristine was one of the featured stars in the 2006 calendar of GMA-7's Artist Center. In that sexy photo shoot, Cristine was joined by co-Artist Center talent Katrina Halili, where both of them were only wearing two-piece bikinis.

SEXY TWOSOMES. FHM is also planning to come up with an explosive duo for the magazine by having both Angel Locsin and Katrina Halili on one cover. The two were hailed as FHM's Sexiest in 2005 and 2006, respectively.
Allan says, "Mga concept na tipong Angel and Katrina magkasama. Naging sexiest yung dalawang yan. Minsan lang hinahanap na may gawin kang iba. Isipin mo treat din ‘yan para sa mga mambabasa mo, yung mapagsama mo sila sa isang cover. 'Pag bida si Angel, ang effective na kontrabida si Katrina. Mayroon silang relationship na parang masarap i-explore at ipakita sa isang pictorial."

Also in FHM's list are models Nicole Hernandez and Kelly Misa.

"Taon-taon ‘pag may 100 Sexiest [Women], lagi silang nandun. Taon-taon, hindi sila uma-attend ng iba nating events. Mapapansin mo ‘pag lumalabas yung pictures nila, ang lakas talaga ng sigawan. Meron silang hatak among the boys and gentlemen na sumusubaybay sa FHM. Worth a try naman. Pasok naman sila sa panlasa ng buong FHM," says Allan about the two models.

THE FUTURE. Other personalities who made it to FHM's wish list are Ryza Cenon, Jean Garcia, Angelica Panganiban, Mojofly lead vocalist Lougee, and sisters Ehra and Michelle Madrigal.

Allan explains what it takes to be on the magazine cover: "Kailangan ang lakas talaga nung sexy factor, na pwede siyang pag-usapan. Kunwari, pwede kang pag-usapan sa website lang. Ang appeal niya, kailangang malaki. Hindi rin biro ang maging FHM cover. Kailangan maganda din yung pagpili at nasa timing din."

He also adds, "Definitely yung choices, varied. Different range of sexiness. Di tayo confined lang sa young stars. Yun naman ang gusto nating i-develop. Well-rounded ang FHM cover babes. Medyo top of mind 'yan na maaaring matrabaho namin this year."

Everything is still on the drawing board, with 2007 just getting started. Whether or not they appear on your magazine cover, you can still expect another sexy year with FHM!

Jackie Rice at Ryza Cenon, susunod nang mga cover girls?

Usung-uso ang magpose ng sexy sa mga young stars kung saan nagpapakita ang mga ito ng mga natatagong alindog.

Nauna na rito sina Angel Locisn at Katrina Halili. Si Jennylyn Mercado naman, promotion ng kanyang pelikulang Super Noypi ang dahilan kung bakit siya napa-oo sa pagpapakita ng hubog ng katawan. Edad naman ang dahilan nina Iwa Moto, Pauleen Luna, at Ehra Madrigal, na naghintay muna ng kanilang debut bago patunayan sa lahat na sexy rin sila.

Ilan na lang ang mga young stars na natitira na hindi pa sumasabak sa pagpapasexy. Nangunguna na sa wish list ng mga sexy magazine ang mga Starstruck survivors na sina Jackie Rice at Ryza Cenon.

Si Jackie, edad at confidence raw ang problema. Sa ngayon daw, hanggang tube at shorts lang muna ang kaya ni Jackie, gaya ng mga suot niya sa SOP. Si Ryza naman, hindi maisip kung paano niya iiwan ang kanyang sweet image.

“Hindi pa nga, kasi bata pa ako,” pabirong pagmamaktol na sagot ni Ryza. “Niloloko kasi ako ng mga taga-Artist Center na July daw ako. Ayaw ko, hindi ako sexy!”

“Ang laging ina-advice sa akin ng daddy ko, kung sexy ka talaga, ‘di mo na kailangan magpose,” ang sagot naman ni Jackie.

Pero ayon sa dalawa, mage-enjoy muna sila sa kanilang wholesome image bago sila sumabak sa paseksihan.

Mark Herras wants different leading ladies

Manila Bulletin reports that Mark Herras wants to work with different leading ladies

In the movie "Super Noypi", both Mark Herras and Jennylyn Mercado play super heroes with uncanny abilities. Though together again in a movie, the story and the whole cast are the film's focus than their love team. Could this be the start of the end of the Mark-Jennylyn love team?

"Not necessarily. Maybe GMA is just experimenting on something. Maybe they would want our love team to take a break first. We've been a love team for almost three years and love teams don't last that long," said the actor in Tagalog.

As witnessed by the showbiz-loving public, broken love teams usually have consequences. One of them is either the downfall of the actor or actress' career. And that would mean having less TV or movie projects. But Mark sees it differently - moving away from a love team would present more opportunities as an actor.

He explained: "First of all I have a good working relationship with GMA Artist Center. Second there's Nanay Lolit. And I have experienced that Jen and I were treated equally. I think I'll still have a good career because even if I don't have a regular show, I'd have guest appearances in different TV shows."

If ever his love team with Jen really fizzles. Mark would not be on the lookout for a new love team partner. Rather he would take that chance to really hone his craft as an actor. He even admired the direction of Richard Gutierrez’ acting career since he can be paired with any leading lady, something he wants to do soon.

“I’ve passed the love team stage already. There are new actresses like Jackie Rice and Iwa Moto who I won’t mind working with. It’s nice to work with different actresses in every project. It’s okay for me if I have a love team or not,” expressed Mark who’s currently paired with Jackie Rice in GMA 7’s “Princess Charming.”

So far Mark has worked with Jen in the movies “So Happy Together,” “Let The Love Begin,” “Say That You Love Me,” “Lovestruck,” “Blue Moon” and “Eternity.” The last TV series they worked on is in “I Luv NY.”

So what benefits did he get from having a love team with Jennylyn Mercado?

“There’s a lot, like we became easily popular because of the love team. We also got a lot of projects because our love team clicked. Up to now when we each do individual shows, people still ask us where our partners were,” smiled Mark.

The two though remains good friends despite all the alleged womanizing issues of the said actor that may have caused their separation. During filming of “Super Noypi,” insiders from Regal Entertainment’s production team reported that the two were still very caring and sweet with one another. Their concern for each other was also said to have complimented and even enhanced their characters “kilig moments” in the movie. It was even rumored that the two even got back together.

What works between the two actors is their chemistry on the silver screen whether they are in a romantic scene or not. Insiders of the movie even commented that they don’t only act well, they look great in their super hero costumes. For those who haven’t seen the “Super Noypi” posters or trailer, Mark is in a fitting black jacket and pants with matching buckled-boots. He is Lorenzo and he has telekinetic abilities. While Jen as Lia looks daring and very sexy in an all gray-sleeveless jacket and tights that reveal her slim physique.

So how was it playing a superhero?

”After I saw the whole film, I became very proud of it. Regal really spent a lot for this film. All the effects and prosthetics were made be their very creative production team,” he boasted.

Looking back Mark has no regrets about their relationship crumbling nor does he blame himself. He also pointed out that the rumors about him were just blown out of proportion. He stands by his story that he and Ryza Cenon never kissed and that he only courted Marian Rivera when he and Jen were over to name a few.

“I guess it’s fate. That’s where our relationship took us. I have no regrets,” he said. Unlike before he stressed that he doesn’t meddle anymore in Jen’s businesses like a boyfriend. He respects whatever she does in her career and he always wished her well.

Mark is currently single since he stopped pursuing a relationship with an actress recently. He attributed his decision to their difference in life style. He felt that that would have an effect on their relationship in the future.

“I wasn’t comfortable because she has a high living lifestyle. Some would say it would be alright since I love her and I just had to adjust, but I saw it otherwise. I even sought her opinion. So the earlier I stop, the better it is for the two of us,” he lamented.

Just like his past girlfriends, Mark revealed that he never was a man who would look for someone to be his girlfriend. He always believed that who ever is for him would just come to his life.

At the moment Mark Herras would be doing two films with John Pratts next year and there’s a soap opera in the works for him. He also likes to venture on a business someday when he finished paying his house in North View 2 in Quezon City.

So why would children of all ages make “Super Noypi” a must watch movie this Christmas?

“First of all this will be the first time that all our fans will see us together as super heroes in a movie. It’s for the whole family and it’s not boring with all the action scenes. They will surely enjoy the film with its special effects. We all worked for this and it’s going to be worth their time. It’s like the Pinoy version of X-Men,” replied Mark.

If ever, like Lorenzo, Mark could relate to his character’s surprise in finding out he has super powers. Before he started in showbiz and even before he joined “Starstruck,” Mark only loved dancing. It was during the “Starstruck” contest and after that he was surprised to find out he could act. Acting then became his second love as he really wants to have a long career in showbiz. The only time he would stop if he feels that he is already begging for roles or parts to play.

“Maybe when this happens I already have a stable life to fall back to,” he remarked. “I love my work but I’d quit showbiz when its already appropriate for me to do so.”

Maagang nawala ang mommy mo, di ba? Ano'ng kinamatay niya?
Cancer sa bituka. Hindi ko na po maalala yung itsura niya eh. Sa picture lang.

Ano'ng naging epekto nito sa pamilya nyo?
Nagtrabaho po yung daddy ko, nung una sa Taiwan. Hindi ko po alam kun anong work niya, eh. Mga ilang years after namatay ng mommy ko, nakilala niya yung first stepmom ko na Pilipina rin. Umuwi sila dito sa Pilipinas para magpakasal. Tapos, dun sa bahay ng stepmom ko sa Malabon, dun kami tumira ng kuya ko. Tapos medyo bad ang stepmom ko.

Parang Cinderella ba ito?
Medyo po. Mga ilang weeks after nilang ikasal, bumalik yung daddy ko sa Taiwan para magtrabaho. Nakasama namin yung stepmom namin sa bahay. Hindi po siya nagwo-work nun. Nambubugbog po siya. Binubugbog niya kaming magkapatid. Siguro mga grade two ako nun. Uso pa nun yung Bantay Bata, eh. Pero hindi naman ako nag-attempt tumawag dun. Ha-ha-ha!

Ikuwento mo kung paano kayo binubugbog.
Yung walis tambo, pinapalo kami. Pinapaluhod sa asin. Yung kuya ko nga, pinatulog sa labas ng bahay, eh. Tapos hindi niya nakayanan, naglayas siya nung mga 10 years old siya. Nagpunta siya sa lola ko sa Laguna. Buti nga nakarating siya, eh. So naiwan ako. Nagkaroon kami ng kapatid dun. Ako yung nag-aalaga. ako yung naglilinis. Lahat! Wala kaming katulong.

Baka naman salbahe rin kayo nung mga bata pa kayo?
Hindi naman. Siguro kung meron namang nagawang [kasalanan], bakit naman ganun kagrabe, di ba? Tapos pag maraming pasa, hindi kami papapasukin sa school.

Alam ba ng daddy mo noon yung mga pananakit na'to?
Hindi pa nun. Nasa Taiwan siya, eh... Meron pang time nun, pag malapit na magpasukan, pinagtitinda kami ng ice candy. Yung mga kinita namin, binibigay namin sa stepmom ko. Yun ang ipambibili ng mga notebook at school supplies namin.

Bakit kailangan nyong magtrabaho para makabili ng gamit? Hindi ba kayo pinadadalhan ng allowance?
Ewan ko. Hindi ako mausisa noon, eh. Hindi rin namin tinatanong kung bakit wala kaming pambili ng notebook.

Ano'ng tumatakbo sa utak mo noon?
Ang iniisip ko po noon, kaya kami nagbebenta kasi summer. Hindi big deal sa'kin.

Kailan natigil yung pananakit?
Nung umalis yung stepmom ko papuntang Taiwan. Nakitira ako sa steplola ko na nadun lang din sa compound. Pero ako pa rin yung nag-aalaga ng kapatid ko kahit may school. Nagtatrabaho pa rin ako. Yung katabi ng bahay namin, factory siya. Nagtrabaho ako dun!

Anong trabaho naman ito?
Sa Malabon. Pagawaan ng keychain. Naglalagay ako ng glue sa keychain. Elementary pa lang ako nun.

Pinagtrabaho ka ba o trip mo lang? Sino'ng nagsabi sa'yo na magtrabaho ka dun?
Sila. Yung steplola ko. Para may pera daw po ako.

Magkano ang kita mo sa isang buwan?
Nasa P800. Kasi panghapon ako, so sa umaga ako nagtatrabaho. Dun ko po kinukuha yung allowance ko.

DADDY'S DEEDS

Kailan lang nalaman ng daddy mo ang tungkol dito?
Nung lumayas yung kuya ko nalaman ng tunay kong lola. Nalaman na rin ng daddy ko. Hanggang sa pinakuha na'ko ng lola ko. Nagkasama na kami ng kuya ko sa Laguna.

Bakit hindi ka nagsumbong sa daddy mo about the physical abuse?
Kasi bata pa'ko nun, eh. Ang naiisip ko lang nun, gusto ko nang umuwi dun sa lola ko. Kung alam ko lang nun kung paano...Lalo na nung iniwan ako ni Kuya. Naisip ko noon na sana hinintay niya ako. Nung una, akala ko lang, nasa school siya. Pero nakita ko, nandun yung mga gamit niya sa school. Pero sa cabinet, walang gamit. Ay, lumayas nga!

Kumusta na kayo ng daddy mo?
Sa Abu Dhabi na siya nagwo-work. Wala na sila nung una kong stepmom. Nalaman ko na lang, nag-asawa uli siya ng Pinay. May anak na. Pero ngayon, ewan ko lang kung isa pa lang din ang anak nila.

Sinusuportahan ka pa rin ba ng daddy mo hanggang ngayon?
Ngayon hindi na. Kasi siyempre, may work na daw ako. Basta sabi ko, wag niya lang papabayaan yung kuya ko.

Kilala mo ba personally yung latest mong stepmom?
Nakilala ko siya nung judgment night namin [sa StarStruck]. Nagpunta kasi sila Pero hindi kami talagang nag-usap. Nakita ko lang siya. Yun lang. Ganun din sa kapatid kong maliit. Mga three years old siya.

Galit ka ba sa daddy mo?
Nagalit ako once. Kasi nung Final Four pa lang, tumawag siya sa'kin. Sabi niya, "Uuwi na'ko. Hindi na'ko magwo-work. Diyan na lang ako sa Philippines, magi-stay." Magbi-business na lang daw siya. Parang na0feel ko nun na, "Naku, mukhang ako yata ang pagtatrabahuhin nito, ah! Siya, magpapahinga na lang." Kaya sabi ko po, "Hindi po!" Nung umuwi siya, hindi ko siya kinakausap para maparamdam ko na mali yung desisyon niya.

RYZA AND FALL

Insecure ka raw lalo na sa Batch 3 ng StarStruck in terms of projects at popularity.
No. Ni minsan po, hindi ako na-insecure. Naghihintay lang ako ng para sa'kin. Kung ano man yung ibigay, masaya na'ko dun. So kung mas umaangat sila sa'kin, okey lang. At least ako po stable. Hindi nawawalan. Kunwari mawala ako sa isang show, merong kasunod. So masaya ako dun.

Sa tingin mo, kailangan mo ng loveteam para mas sumikat?
Open naman ako kung merong ipa-partner sa'kin. Kasi yung last loveteam ko, aaminin ko, ayoko talaga sa kanya. Si CJ Muere. May ugali siyang di ko ma-ride. Yung family nila... basta may something na hindi mo kayang abutin. Siguro dahil laki sila sa yaman kaya ganun.

Parang minamaliit ka nila?
Parang ganun. So pinaramdam ko talaga sa Artist Center na ayoko talaga sa kanya. At saka alam naman po yun ni CJ, eh. Hindi ko nga kinakausap yun, eh. Hanggang sa naging solo na lang ako. Pero masaya ako. Kasi parang sa sarili mong sikap, ikaw mismo yung nagpakilala sa sarili mo.

One year after the Mark-Jennylyn "ahasan" issue, meron pa ring mga hindi naniniwala na wala kang kinalaman sa hiwalayan nila. Kinalantari mo nga ba talaga si Mark?
Hindi talaga totoo yan. Yan yung sa airplane, di ba? Nakita daw niya [Jennylyn] sa harapan niya may nangyayaring kissing. Ni hindi kami magkatabi ni Mark! Paano mo magagawa yun na ang daming tao? Marami ring artista. Kung meron mang nakitang ganun, eh, di sana marami na ring nagsasalitang artista na nakita nila.

Saan niya kaya nakuha yung kuwento? Bakit of all StarStruck artists, ikaw yung napili niya?
I don't know. Kasi yung sa Lovestruck, kami ni Mark ang palaging magkasama nun dahil kami yung magkapatid dun, eh. At that time, hindi na sila.

Pinormahan ka ba ni Mark?
Hindi. Kasi si Mark, malambing sa lahat. Kaya gusto siya ng lahat ng tao. Pero hindi ko siya gusto kasi playboy siya.

Saan naman nanggaling yung Cogie Domingo-Lovi Poe "ahasan" issue?
Hindi ko po alam!

Nag-umpisa raw ito nung nag-react ka sa isang blind item.
Actually, hindi ako nag-react. Kung ako yung tatanungin nyo, dededmahin ko talaga siya. Pero yung network ang nag-react regarding dun dahil hindi na daw tama. It's so unfair to me daw.

Textmates nga ba kayo ni Cogie?
No. First time ko siyang nakita at nakatrabaho sa Love to Love. Then meron kaming promo sa Eat Bulaga!, tapos nagkayayaan mag-lunch. Ako hindi na pwede kasi meron pa akong trabaho. Tapos tinext ako ni Cogie, "Uy sayang naman hindi ka makakapunta. Kung makakaabot ka, punta ka." Ganun lang. Parang friendly text lang. Nireplyan ko lang siya ng, "Sorry, ha. May work pa'ko, eh." Tapos minsan nagte-text siya, "Uy, musta?" Hindi po ako nagre-reply. Tamad akong mag-reply, eh. Ha-ha-ha!

Sino kaya'ng gumawa nito sa'yo?
Hindi ko alam. Sabi nga nila sa'kin, merong taong gusto talaga akong pabagasakin.

FULL FORCE

Sa experience mo, sino'ng mas mahirap ka-issue, si Jennylyn o si Lovi?
Si Jen! Kasi yung kanya, lumaki talaga, di ba? Etong Cogie-Lovi konti lang, eh. Nasolusyonan agad. Kay Jen kasi, parang padagdag nang padagdag yung issue every day. Iba't iba nang statement yung naririnig ko.

Saan ka pinakanasaktan?
Sa lahat ng mga sinasabi nila! Sa SOP, nung nandun yung mother ni Jen. Tapos pinariringgan ako. "Malandi yan! Maarte yan!" Eh sobrang dami ng tao sa rehearsal studio. Nandun yung mga dancers. Lahat!

Hindi siya pinipigilan ni Jennylyn?
Hindi. Binabantayan kasi siya ng mommy niya, eh.

Totoo bang binangga ka ni Jennylyn one time nung kainitan ng issue?
Yeah. Nung rehearsal yun. Nagkasabay kami ng rehearsal, magkasama kami sa dance. Natapos na yung rehearsal ko, nauna akong umalis sa kanya. After nun, biglang kasunod ko na siya sa likod. Magkatabi kami ng P.A. ko na naglalakad. Tapos dun siya dumaan sa gitna. Talagang hindi siya nag-excuse. Hindi siya nag-sorry. Natalisod ako. Dire-diretso lang siya. Hindi niya ako nilingon. Ako, dedma lang. Ang dami niyang kasama. Ewan ko. Baka natatakot silang sugurin ko, or what. Ha-ha-ha-ha! Marami talaga siyang kasamang mga kaibigan, mga fans. Pag nagkakaroon siya ng issue, lalo na pag rehearsal, full-force! Siguro binabantayan siya. Basta pag may issue siya.

Hindi mo ba sinubukang i-approach siya para sabihing tigilan niya yun?
Kasi, once na ginawa mo yun, sasabihin lang sa'yo, "Bakit defensive ka?" Lalong gugulo.

Ano'ng natutunan mo sa experience na yun?
May time na laging siya yung kinakampihan. Tine-text niya ako, minumura niya ako. Sabi niya, "Baguhan ka lang. Kaya kitang pabagsakin. Una, ipagkakalat ko sa buong Encantadia yung mga ginagawa mong kahihiyan." So, kinalat nga niya kahit di totoo. Sa staff, artists. Pangalawa, sa press. Siya ang nagkalat, eh. Sa lahat! Then, sa Artist Center, yung sa pinaka-boss na. Siya yung unang kinakampihan kasi nga masalita siya. Tapos na-save ko yung mga text niya, finorward ko kay Direk Rommel Gancho. Ayun, nakita na siya yung nang-aaway, hindi ako. Tapos nilagay sa press. Pero pinagalitan ako ng Artist Center kasi nag-send ako ng ganun. Nung time na yun, sobrang daming projects ni Jen. Siyempre mas kakampihan nila yung mas maraming projects. Mas kumikita sila dun. So ako, hindi nila ako ganun kakampihan kasi konti lang yung akin. Dun ko lang nalaman na ganun pala, pag marami kang kinikita sa isang artist, kakampihan ka kahit mali ka.

Sa issue ni Lovi, ganun din ba?
Ay, hindi. Ako na po yung kinampihan.

Dahil mas mataas ang kita mo kaysa sa kanya?
Ha-ha-ha! Hindi naman po.

Ngayon, okey na kayo ni Jen?
Dami niyang kaaway, eh. He-he-he. Bukod kay Alex (Alessandra de Rossi), madami. Wala na siya sa SOP kasi nga marami siyang kaaway dun. Iba ang ugali niya sa screen saka sa off-cam.

Nung magka-issue sila ni Alex, honestly sino'ng pinaniwalaan mo?
Si Alex.

Sa tingin mo, totoo kayang tinext niya si Jeremy [Marquez]?
Kasi, ganito po yun. Kilala naman po natin si Alex. Palaban talaga yun. Lalaban siya kung may rason siya, di ba? Meron naman daw siyang proof. Nakita naman, eh na nagte-text. At saka alam ko rin.

Nagsisisi ka ba na nag-artista ka?
Nung una, nagsisisi ako. Bakit pa'ko pumasok. pwede namang nanahimik na lang ako. Pumapasok na lang sa utak ko na siguro may reason si God kung bakit ako pumasok dito. +++

PLAYTIME WITH RYZA

There's still no telling when this cinderella will reap her happily-ever-after. But she sure welcomes a dose of playtime every once in a while, that's for sure.
