Rufa Mae to the Max

"To the highest level!"

Hearing these words will definitely make anyone remember Rufa Mae
Quinto, the sexy, funny, and pretty lady who has been making people
laugh with her crazy antics and childlike mannerisms.

In an industry where everyone tries to secure a place in the
spotlight, Rufa Mae has claimed her own niche in sexy comedy with
her exceptional performances in HP Ibang Level Na! and Bubble Gang .

But she is more than just that.

Unknown to many, this sexy comedienne has always dreamt of being a
dramatic actress. She would love to play a part that allows her to
emotes hard and shed tears. "I miss acting" she says. "Kasi it's my
passion, kahit hindi ako masyadong magaling umarte" she adds with a
hearty laugh.

So when she was chosen by Magpakailanman to play the role of Analyn
Villanueva, a mentally challenged lady who was raped by her
neighbor, Rufa did not waste the opportunity. As she is used to
doing light and amusing sitcoms, she found the role challenging and
demanding, but nevertheless gave her best performance and stayed
focused.

"I think I'm trying my best to be versatile" she says. "Careeer kasi
ako once I do something. Hinihiwalay ko lahat eh. Halimbawa, `pag
Bubble Gang , Bubble Gang ako. Nagwi-wig ako as Bel (a spoof of Mel
Tiongco), inaaral ko `yung angulo niya."

All-Around

Rufa proves her versatility as she also takes on singing, dancing
and hosting. "I used to sing na talaga" she says. In fact, she was a
member of the variety show That's Entertainment , and an avid fan of
Asia's Songbird, Regine Velasquez. "But it's not my passion. I love
singing pero feeling ko hindi naman ganoon kaganda ang boses ko" she
quips. "Feeling ko dati, gusto ko kasing galing ako ni Regine, o mas
magaling pa. Siyempre, `wag naman akong maging addict `di ba, so
sabi ko, ayoko nang maging singer" she casually explains.

She believes that it is through the guidance of the Divine that she
still gets breaks in singing. She has had a number of singing stints
and has held even her own concerts with various musical sensations.

Her singing career is taking off as she releases the singles "Ocean
Deep" and "All This Time", with corresponding music videos directed
by the acclaimed Joyce Bernal and Louie Ignacio respectively.

She is also set to revive of Lani Misalucha's "Tila" and Regine
Velasquez's "Dadalhin", and finally release a compilation of her
hits and music videos in an album in March.

100%

"Serious ako sa trabaho" Rufa Mae claims. This explains why she
always makes sure she gives a hundred percent of her energy in every
project she gets herself into. She goes through meticulous
preparations to get in shape, like engaging in sports, spending time
alone, refraining from talking too much and staying up late and
drinking lots of water.

As projects flow continuously for her, Rufa's career blooms and she
could not be more thankful. Blissful and almost teary-eyed, she
says, "I can't ask for more. Sobrang touched ako."

Rufa Mae is a lovely proof that anything can be achieved through
hard work and perseverance. Bent on continually improving in her
craft, she assures herself and her loved ones of a bright future.
